The conversations around Ignite
Ignite drew visitors who have shaped art photography. Both films sit alongside the exhibition and the work the students made.

From the classroom to the gallery wall
From learning to exhibiting
Ignite gave students of the Art Photography Academy their first chance to hang their work in a professional gallery, meet collectors and see their art framed and lit on the wall.
Every artist in Ignite had followed Martin Osner’s programmes, some as far as master class level, and several joined the Art of Painting course and the Swellendam art retreat, both taught as workshops through the Art Photography Academy.
Thank you to every artist, collector and visitor who made it such a memorable celebration of new talent. See what is showing now on our exhibitions page.
