The gallery

Art that lives where you eat and taste wine

Five years ago the BluVines District (now Bloupunt Winery) invited Osner Gallery to make the art for the space. Our work now hangs right through it, so you can look at original paintings over lunch or while you taste Bloupunt wine.

Montagu sits on Route 62, where the Langeberg mountains give way to the Karoo, South Africa’s semi arid desert. Long Street alone holds fourteen of the town’s twenty two national monuments, and the vineyards, farm roads and dry open light around it are the subjects Martin Osner keeps coming back to.

Our paintings on Bloupunt wine labels

Five paintings that became wine labels

Bloupunt wine is proudly Montagu, and every label carries an original artwork by Martin Osner or Samantha Lee Osner. Four of the six wines achieved Double Gold at the Gilbert & Gaillard International Challenge 2026. Choose a wine to read its tasting note and the story of its label.

No painting experience is needed, and most people who come have never finished a canvas before. The course has moved here from Napier, to the place where our own work has hung for the past five years.

Included: five full days of tuition, studio and location sessions, the workshop space at Bloupunt Winery, a final showing on day five, and tea and coffee through each day. Accommodation, travel, meals and art materials are not included, though a pre packed set of materials can be ordered.
