Welcome to Bloupunt Wines — a boutique winery in Montagu where fine winemaking and expressive art come together in perfect harmony. Originally established in the 1980s and now beautifully revived under the care of winemaker Nicky Cowper, Bloupunt celebrates the land, the season, and the creative spirit.
Our 2025 collection reflects this philosophy: a crisp unoaked Chardonnay with citrus and flinty minerality, a delicate dry Rosé bursting with wild strawberry
Where Heritage Winemaking Meets Artistic Expression
and pink grapefruit, a bold Shiraz layered with dark berries and spice, and a structured Cabernet Sauvignon with notes of blackcurrant, plum, and graphite. Each bottle is a tribute to craftsmanship, both in the vineyard and on the label. In collaboration with celebrated artists Martin and Samantha Lee Osner, each wine is wrapped in an original artwork created specifically for the vintage. These pieces are not only visually striking, but they also offer a sense of atmosphere — a quiet nod to the land, the emotion of the harvest, and the mood of the wine itself. This union of wine and art is central to Bloupunt’s identity, creating a unique sensory experience from the first glance to the final sip.

A Collection of Wines Inspired by Nature and Dressed in Art
Each wine in the Bloupunt collection is a thoughtful expression of land and season — crafted with care by winemaker Nicky Cowper, and shaped by the natural beauty of Montagu. From the gentle mineral notes of our Chardonnay to the bold depth of our Shiraz, every bottle reflects a deep respect for terroir and time.
To complete the story, each label is crafted in an original artwork by Martin and Samantha Lee Osner. These visual narratives echo the mood and essence of each wine, transforming every bottle into a multi-sensory experience that begins before the first pour.
Bloupunt Rosé 2025 – “Eminence” Edition
This limited-edition Rosé presents a delicate pale hue and a refined flavour profile. With wild strawberry, watermelon, and pink grapefruit notes, it is both vibrant and softly structured—crisp on the palate and refreshing with a mineral lift.
The label features Reminiscence No. 1, an original work by Martin Osner. Chosen for its quiet emotive strength, the gently textured portrait carries depth and softness, echoing the wine’s elegant balance. This artwork transforms the bottle into a visual meditation on memory and endurance—a fitting companion to the graceful spirit of the Rosé.
Bloupunt Cabernet Sauvignon 2025 – “Thandiwe” Edition
This elegant Cabernet Sauvignon hails from the Blue Vine District in Montagu. With deep aromas of blackcurrant and plum, framed by graphite minerality and firm tannins, it reveals structure and quiet strength—balanced and expressive.
The label features “Thandiwe”, an evocative portrait by Martin Osner, selected for its subtle power and layered emotion. The artwork complements the wine’s personality, allowing the bottle to carry its own visual gravitas—a perfect pairing of art and wine.
Bloupunt Chardonnay 2025 – “Divine Harmony” Edition
Our 2025 Chardonnay is a graceful expression from the Blue Vine District in Montagu. Crisp and unoaked, it offers fresh notes of lemon zest, grapefruit, green apple, and a flinty mineral undertone—clean, poised, and refined in every sip.
The label features “Divine Harmony”, a serene mixed‑media landscape by Samantha Lee Osner, drawn from her Précis collection. With ink, oil and acrylic, the artwork evokes calm and quiet reflection, perfectly mirroring the wine’s luminous character and elegant simplicity.
Bloupunt Shiraz 2025 – “Candy Girl” Edition
Bold and expressive, this 2024 Shiraz opens with rich aromas of dark berries, violets, and black pepper before unveiling a ripe plum‑driven palate with savoury depth and vibrant spice. It’s a wine that marries power with finesse.
The label showcases “Candy Girl”, a dynamic mixed‑media portrait by Martin Osner, as featured in the Shiraz Osner Art Label series. Hand‑painted and assembled with real rubber bands, this artwork radiates personality—playful yet sophisticated—reflecting the wine’s confident and richly layered character.
