About Bloupunt
A boutique winery in Montagu, on Route 62
Bloupunt is made and poured at Bloupunt Winery in Montagu, where the mountains give way to the Karoo. The winery was first established in the 1980s and has been revived by winemaker Nicky Cowper.
The name comes from the original farm, tucked into the back corner of Montagu under high mountains, which fell into shadow every afternoon. It became known as Die Blou Punt, Afrikaans for the blue point, and the wines carry the name to celebrate that heritage.

Each Bloupunt label carries a painting, portrait or mixed media work by Martin Osner or Samantha Lee Osner, chosen to suit the character of the wine. The original artworks hang at Bloupunt Winery, so you can see them while you taste.
The rest of the collection hangs at Osner Gallery in Hout Bay, twenty minutes from Cape Town, where you can also commission a work of your own.

Taste Bloupunt at Bloupunt Winery, Montagu

The rest of the collection hangs at Osner Gallery in Hout Bay, twenty minutes from Cape Town. Open Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm. Sunday by appointment, booked the day before.
